Quick answer

  • Lovehoney has sold in Australia since 2013 and ships Australian orders from a warehouse in Eagle Farm, Brisbane. It's part of Lovehoney Group, which also owns Womanizer and We-Vibe.
  • Parcels come in plain boxes or envelopes, and Lovehoney says the return address on the label doesn't include its name. Delivery is free over $69 and costs the same to metro, regional and remote addresses.
  • Unopened items can be returned within 30 days. Lovehoney also offers a 1-year product guarantee and a 100 Day Pleasure Guarantee that pays out as a gift card.

Lovehoney has sold to Australians since 2013, from a warehouse in Brisbane. The questions people ask before they order are practical ones. Will the parcel give anything away? How long will it take? What if I don't like it, or it stops working? This review answers them from Lovehoney Australia's own published pages, read on 30 October 2026. We haven't tested products or placed orders, and we don't give a score.

Who Lovehoney is

Lovehoney's about page says the company started in Bath in 2002 and came to Australia in 2013, first in West End, Brisbane. Since 2015 it has run its Australian warehouse in Eagle Farm, Brisbane, and it ships New Zealand orders from there too.

In 2021 Lovehoney joined WOW Tech, the company behind Womanizer and We-Vibe, and Amorana, to form Lovehoney Group. That matters for shoppers in one practical way: when Lovehoney stocks Womanizer or We-Vibe products, it's selling brands from its own group. That isn't a problem, but it's worth knowing when you read how a retailer presents those brands. Our Womanizer review and We-Vibe review cover each brand's own warranty terms.

Packaging and privacy

Privacy is the question most people care about, and Lovehoney answers it in detail. Its plain packaging page says:

  • Larger items go in plain custom boxes.
  • Smaller items, such as condoms, go in plain padded envelopes.
  • No markings appear on the back or sides of the parcel.
  • The label shows the delivery address and sometimes a courier sticker.
  • The return address. Australia Post requires one, and Lovehoney says it doesn't include the word "Lovehoney".

Its help centre also says it won't sell your data to a third party. We couldn't find the name that appears on a card statement for a Lovehoney order, so if that matters to you, ask Lovehoney before you pay. Our discreet delivery guide compares packaging and billing names across several Australian retailers.

Delivery times and costs

Lovehoney's delivery page lists two services, with times in working days:

ServiceMetroRegionalRemote
Parcel PostUsually 3 to 4Usually 4 to 7Not listed separately
Express Post1 to 22 to 33 to 4

A few details from the same page:

  • Same cost everywhere. Delivery costs the same for metro, regional and remote addresses.
  • Same-day dispatch for express. Express orders placed before 4pm AEDT, Monday to Friday, are dispatched that day. Express isn't always available.
  • Tracking. Parcels are tracked to your door or to a local collection point.
  • Collection. A parcel held at a Post Office waits 10 working days, and you need photo ID to collect it.
  • Late parcels. Lovehoney asks you to contact it if an order is more than 5 working days overdue.
  • Parcel forwarders. Lovehoney says it isn't liable for orders sent to a parcel forwarding service.

The help centre says delivery is free on orders over $69, and that a non-delivery claim needs to be made within 14 days of the estimated delivery date. We didn't record the delivery fee below $69, so check it at checkout.

Paying

The help centre lists Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, PayPal, Google Pay and Afterpay. Afterpay needs an Australian card and a residential address, and you must be over 18.

One thing to know before you click "buy": Lovehoney says orders can't be cancelled once they're placed. You can still return an unopened order for free.

Returns, the 1-year guarantee and the 100 Day Pleasure Guarantee

Lovehoney's returns policy has three separate parts, and it helps to keep them apart.

1. Returns within 30 days. You can return items through Australia Post within 30 days of purchase. They must be unopened, unused or unworn, with packaging or tags intact. Lovehoney doesn't do exchanges, so you return the item and order again.

2. The 1-year product guarantee. If something goes wrong with a product within a year, Lovehoney says it will replace it.

3. The 100 Day Pleasure Guarantee. If you're not happy with a sex toy, you can tell Lovehoney why within 100 days and get a gift card. It's limited to one item per order, and some categories aren't covered, so check the policy for the item you're buying.

The 100 Day Pleasure Guarantee stands out. The other two Australian retailers we checked don't offer a change-of-mind option on an opened toy. Wild Secrets says it doesn't take returns on adult products, and Adulttoymegastore says it doesn't accept change-of-mind returns. The trade-off is that Lovehoney pays this one out as a gift card, not a refund.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Store policies sit on top of your legal rights, not in place of them. The ACCC says consumer guarantees apply automatically: products must be of acceptable quality and match their description, and a "no refunds" sign can't take those rights away. If a product is faulty, the first step is to contact the business, which for an online order is the retailer.

Product safety and materials

Lovehoney's help centre says it played a leading role in developing ISO 3533, an international safety standard for sex toys, which it describes as covering materials suitable for body contact that are non-toxic and hypoallergenic. That's Lovehoney's own description. We haven't read the standard itself, and a standard existing doesn't tell you whether a given product meets it.

What you can check yourself is the material listed for each product. Silicone, glass, stainless steel and hard plastic are non-porous, which Quin, the health service of Thorne Harbour Health, says makes them the easiest to clean. Our cleaning guide covers the details. Our body-safe materials guide explains how to read a product listing.

What we couldn't check

  • Prices. We don't quote product prices, because they change often and promotions run sitewide.
  • The card statement name. Not found on the pages we read.
  • Customer service quality and real delivery times. We haven't ordered, so we can only report what Lovehoney publishes.
  • Which categories the 100 Day Pleasure Guarantee excludes. The policy says some are excluded, so check the item's page.

Who Lovehoney suits

Based on its published policies, Lovehoney may suit you if:

  • you want a retailer with an Australian warehouse and published delivery times by area
  • packaging privacy matters, and you'd like the retailer's name kept off the label
  • you want some cover if a toy doesn't suit you, even as a gift card
  • you'd like a 1-year guarantee on top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

It may suit you less if you want to cancel an order after placing it, need an exchange instead of a return, or want a cash refund for a change of mind.
