Womanizer Review Australia: Warranty, Care and What to Know

Quick answer

  • Womanizer launched its first product in 2014. It's a WOW Tech brand, and WOW Tech is part of Lovehoney Group. Its toys use air-pressure waves that don't touch the skin directly.
  • Womanizer's Australian warranty page lists a 5-year warranty on rechargeable and battery-powered items bought from WOW Tech or an authorised reseller. It says Amazon and eBay sellers other than WOW Tech aren't authorised, and it doesn't accept returns once the seal is broken.
  • Womanizer recommends water-based lube, because silicone lube can damage the silicone head. Its FAQ lists health cautions, including not using a toy with a pacemaker.

Womanizer launched the first of its air-pressure toys in 2014, and it runs its own Australian website. Before you buy one, it helps to know how the warranty works, where to buy so it applies, and which lube won't damage the toy. This review is built from Womanizer's Australian website, read on 30 October 2026. We haven't tested the products and we don't give a score.

Who makes Womanizer

Womanizer's about page says the brand began in a village in southern Bavaria, where inventor Michael Lenke developed the first product, launched in 2014. Womanizer is now a brand of WOW Tech Group, which has headquarters in Berlin, Ottawa and Hong Kong, and says the toys are sold in over 60 countries.

WOW Tech also makes We-Vibe. Lovehoney's about page says Lovehoney joined WOW Tech in 2021 to form Lovehoney Group. So if you buy a Womanizer from Lovehoney, the retailer and the brand belong to the same group.

How the technology is described

Womanizer's how it works page describes several technologies and features. In plain terms:

  • Pleasure Air. Pulsing changes in air pressure around the clitoris, without the head touching it directly. Womanizer says this avoids over-stimulation.
  • 3D Pleasure Air. A newer version that the brand describes as gentler and smoother.
  • UltraWave Vibration. A low-frequency vibration that uses a linear motor.
  • Smart Silence. The toy only runs when it's in contact with skin, which saves battery and keeps noise down. You can switch it off.
  • Autopilot. The toy changes intensity on its own.
  • Afterglow. A short press drops to a lower setting.

These are the brand's descriptions. We can't tell you how any of them feel, and individual experiences vary a lot.

Stimulator head sizes

Womanizer's FAQ says most products come with, or have available, S, M and L stimulator heads. It suggests a larger head if the sensation is too intense even on the lowest setting, or if the head doesn't sit comfortably, and a smaller head for stronger sensation. If a first try doesn't feel right, the head size is the first thing to change.

The 5-year warranty, and how to keep it valid

Womanizer's Australian warranty page says WOW Tech Europe GmbH offers a 5-year warranty on all rechargeable and battery-powered items. It also says the warranty applies to toys you already own. The conditions matter:

  • Where you buy. The warranty covers items bought from WOW Tech directly or an authorised reseller. The page names Amazon and eBay retailers other than WOW Tech as unauthorised dealers. Buying a cheaper listing from an unauthorised seller could leave you without the warranty.
  • What's covered. Working parts that affect how the toy functions. Not cosmetic wear, accidents, misuse or neglect.
  • Don't open it. Any attempt to take the toy apart voids the warranty.
  • Proof of purchase. A claim needs a photo of your receipt, your name and mailing address, the model and a description of the problem.
  • Retailer first. The page says to contact the store you bought from first, then claim with WOW Tech if the store won't replace it.
  • Replacement. WOW Tech may replace the toy or refund the price. A discontinued model may be replaced with a comparable one.

The FAQ adds that Womanizer doesn't offer repairs, for hygiene reasons.

Returns and change of mind

The warranty page is direct about this: due to the intimate nature of the products, Womanizer won't accept returns once the packaging seal has been broken, and it says "WOW does not offer a satisfaction guarantee". The site menu also links to a "100 day Pleasure Guarantee" page, but that link didn't open a guarantee page when we checked, so we can't tell you what it offers.

If change of mind matters to you, the retailer's policy is what counts. Lovehoney, for example, runs its own 100 Day Pleasure Guarantee paid as a gift card, which our Lovehoney review explains.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply whatever the brand's policy says. The ACCC says products must be of acceptable quality, and that a "no refunds" sign can't take that away.

Lube, water and cleaning

Lube. Womanizer's FAQ says water-based lube is the best option, because the stimulator head is silicone and silicone lube can deteriorate it. Sexual Health Victoria gives the same general warning about silicone lube and silicone toys. Our lube guide explains the types.

Water. The FAQ lists these models as IPX7 waterproof: Pro, Premium, Plus Size, Pro40, Classic, InsideOut, Duo, Liberty and Starlet 2. Others are splash-proof only, so check the manual before you submerge one.

Cleaning. Quin recommends washing silicone toys with mild, fragrance-free soap and water or a toy cleaner, submerging them only if they're waterproof, and drying them completely before storage. Our cleaning guide has the details.

Health cautions from Womanizer

Womanizer's FAQ lists cautions that are worth reading before you buy:

  • It recommends not using a Womanizer for more than 15 minutes at a time.
  • Stop straight away if you feel pain or discomfort.
  • Don't use the toy if you have a pacemaker.
  • If you're pregnant, have recently given birth, have a skin condition or other relevant health problems, or react to the material, see a doctor first.
  • Remove nearby body piercings or jewellery.

If you have any of these concerns, talk to a GP, a pharmacist or a sexual health clinic.

Delivery and packaging

If you order directly, Womanizer's FAQ says parcels are sent in plain brown boxes from "WOW Tech Europe GmbH". Orders are usually shipped within 2 days, and most arrive within 5 days of shipping, depending on region. You can't change an order once it's placed. If you buy from a retailer, its own packaging and delivery rules apply. Our discreet delivery guide compares them.

What we couldn't check

  • Prices. We don't quote prices. They vary by model and retailer.
  • The 100 day Pleasure Guarantee. The page didn't load as a guarantee page.
  • Claims such as "millions of women". Marketing claims aren't repeated here.
  • How the toys perform. We haven't tested them.

Who Womanizer may suit

Based on the brand's published terms, a Womanizer may suit you if you want a long warranty and are happy to buy from WOW Tech or an authorised retailer to keep it, you're comfortable using water-based lube only, and you'd like a choice of head sizes. It may suit you less if you want the option to return a toy you've opened, or if any of the health cautions above apply to you. In that case, talk to a GP or a sexual health clinic first.
