We-Vibe Review Australia: Couples Toys, Warranty and Care

Quick answer
- We-Vibe started with a couples vibrator designed to be worn during sex. It's now a WOW Tech brand alongside Womanizer, and WOW Tech is part of Lovehoney Group.
- We-Vibe's Australian warranty page lists a 2-year warranty on rechargeable and battery-powered items bought from WOW Tech or an authorised reseller, and names Amazon and eBay as unauthorised. Returns aren't accepted once the seal is broken.
- We-Vibe says to wash its toys with soap and water or its own cleaner, never boil them, and use water-based lube. Several remotes have sealed batteries under Australian button battery safety standards.
We-Vibe began with one idea: a toy two people could use together. The brand was built around it, and its range now includes solo products too. This review sets out what We-Vibe's own Australian website says about its products, warranty, app and care, read on 30 October 2026. We haven't tested the products, and we don't give a score.

Who makes We-Vibe
We-Vibe's company page says inventor Bruce Murison wanted a product that a couple could use together during sex, and that Bruce and Melody Murison founded Standard Innovation Corporation to make it. The result was a flexible, silicone-covered couples vibrator. The brand says it's now sold in over 50 countries and reports more than 6 million units sold, which is the company's own figure.
We-Vibe is part of WOW Tech Group, whose brands include We-Vibe, Womanizer and the lube maker pjur. WOW Tech was founded in Berlin and has offices in Berlin, Ottawa and Hong Kong. Lovehoney's about page says Lovehoney joined WOW Tech in 2021 to form Lovehoney Group, so Lovehoney and We-Vibe sit in the same group.
The range, in plain terms
The FAQ lists the products by motor count. Single-motor toys include Bond, Bloom, Ditto, Jive, Melt, Moxie, Pivot, Rave, Verge, Wand and Wish. Dual-motor toys include Chorus, Gala, Nova 1, Nova 2, Sync, Vector and 4 Plus.
The company page's timeline describes some of them: Sync as a couples vibrator with an adjustable fit, Jive as a wearable vibrator controlled by Bluetooth, Bloom as a vibrating kegel exerciser with three weights, and Pivot and Verge as vibrating rings. We're reporting the brand's descriptions, not our own testing.
For choosing a toy to share, our couples guide covers the questions to talk through first.
The 2-year warranty
We-Vibe's Australian warranty page says WOW Tech Europe GmbH offers a 2-year warranty on all rechargeable and battery-powered items. The conditions:
- Buy from WOW Tech or an authorised reseller. The page names Amazon and eBay as unauthorised dealers and says WOW Tech can't honour the warranty for items bought there.
- No registration needed. Keep your receipt or other proof of purchase, such as an invoice or bank reference. Without it, the toy can't be replaced.
- What's covered. Working parts that affect function. Not cosmetic wear, accidents, misuse or neglect.
- Don't open it. Taking the toy apart voids the warranty.
- Retailer first. Contact the store you bought from first. If it won't replace the toy, claim with WOW Tech.
- Oils and creams. The page warns that sunscreen, lip products, essential oils, coconut oil and edible oils can cause irreparable damage and risk voiding the warranty.
One difference to know. Womanizer's Australian warranty page, from the same company, lists 5 years. We-Vibe's lists 2. Check the warranty page of the brand you're buying on the day you buy.
Returns
Like Womanizer, We-Vibe says it can't accept returns once the packaging seal has been broken, and that WOW Tech doesn't offer a satisfaction guarantee. If you want a change-of-mind option, look at the retailer's policy instead. Under the Australian Consumer Law, the ACCC says products must be of acceptable quality whatever a store's policy says.
Sealed remote batteries
This one catches people out. We-Vibe's warranty page and FAQ say the remotes for Chorus, Sync, Match, Unite 2, Bond, Moxie, Moxie+, Vector and Vector+ have sealed battery compartments to meet Australia's mandatory safety and information standards for products containing button or coin batteries. You can't replace the battery in those remotes yourself. If a remote stops working, contact the place you bought it or We-Vibe's customer service.
The We-Vibe app
The FAQ says:
- The app runs on iOS 11 or newer and Android 7 or newer with Bluetooth LE. It doesn't work on smartwatches, PC or Mac.
- A stable connection needs the phone within about 3 metres of the toy, with nothing in the way.
- A partner can be invited by a link and, once they accept, can control the toy, chat or call.
- We-Vibe says communication within the app is end-to-end encrypted. That's the company's statement.
If privacy matters, read the app's privacy terms before you pair a toy, and only share control with someone who has agreed to it.
Cleaning, lube and sharing
Cleaning. We-Vibe's FAQ says to wash its products after every use with We-Vibe Clean or soap and water, and that a 10% bleach solution can be used. Don't boil them, put them in a dishwasher or expose them to temperatures above body temperature, because that can damage the battery or motor. This is stricter than general advice that some non-motor toys can be boiled, so follow the maker's instructions for motorised toys. Our cleaning guide sets out the general rules from Quin.
Lube. The FAQ recommends We-Vibe Lube or another quality water-based lube. Our lube guide explains why water-based lube is the safe default for silicone toys.
Sharing. The Australian Government's Beforeplay advice is to avoid sharing sex toys and to wash them thoroughly each time. A couples toy is by design shared between two people, so talk about sexual health and testing with your partner, and clean the toy every time.
What we couldn't check
- Prices. Not quoted; they vary by model and retailer.
- Delivery times and the sender name for direct orders. The site banner says "Free discreet shipping on all toys", but we didn't find delivery times on the pages we read.
- Performance and noise. We haven't tested the toys.
- Sales figures. The 6 million figure is the company's own claim.
Buying a We-Vibe in Australia
Three checks before you pay, all drawn from the pages above:
- Is the seller authorised? The warranty depends on it, and We-Vibe names Amazon and eBay as unauthorised. Buying from We-Vibe's own Australian site or an established retailer avoids the question.
- What does the retailer's returns policy say? We-Vibe won't take an opened toy back. Some retailers have their own change-of-mind options and some don't. Our online adult stores comparison sets them side by side.
- Does the model have a remote with a sealed battery? If it does, a flat remote battery is a job for the retailer or We-Vibe, not a screwdriver.
Keep the receipt or order confirmation for at least the 2-year warranty period.
Who We-Vibe may suit
Going by the brand's published terms, We-Vibe may suit couples looking for a toy designed to be shared, people who want app control with a partner, and anyone happy to stick with water-based lube and soap-and-water cleaning. It may suit you less if you want a long warranty (Womanizer, from the same company, lists a longer one) or the option to return an opened toy.
