Online Adult Stores in Australia Compared

Quick answer

  • We compared three online adult stores that sell to Australians, using only their own pages, checked on 30 October 2026. We don't rank them.
  • Lovehoney ships from Brisbane and offers 30-day returns on unopened items plus a 1-year product guarantee. Wild Secrets ships from Melbourne and the USA, with a 90-day warranty. Adulttoymegastore ships from Wellington, New Zealand, with a 31-day store warranty.
  • None of the three takes change-of-mind returns on opened adult products. Your Australian Consumer Law rights apply to faulty items at all three.

Buying adult products online is mostly about the fine print: where the parcel ships from, how long it takes, what happens if a toy stops working, and whether you can send something back. Those terms differ more than the product ranges do. This page sets out what three online stores selling to Australians publish about each, side by side. We read each store's own pages on 30 October 2026. We haven't ordered from them, we don't rank them, and we don't quote product prices.

18+ only. SexCentral.com.au is for adults. It's an independent guide operated by Dominet BV. This page is general information, not medical advice: for pain, irritation, an allergy or any other health worry, talk to a GP, a pharmacist or a sexual health clinic. We don't sell products and we don't show explicit content. No link on this site is an affiliate link right now. We may earn a commission from retailers in future when a reader buys through a link on this site. If that happens we'll label those links and explain it in our affiliate disclosure, and it won't change the facts we publish. Retailer facts were checked on each retailer's own website on 30 October 2026 and can change. Read our general information notice.

Lovehoney Australia

Who it is. Lovehoney's about page says it was founded in Bath, in the UK, in 2002 and came to Australia in 2013. It has run a warehouse at Eagle Farm in Brisbane since 2015. In 2021 it joined WOW Tech, the maker of Womanizer and We-Vibe, and Amorana to form Lovehoney Group.

Delivery. Its delivery page says the delivery cost is the same for metro, regional and remote addresses. Parcel Post usually takes 3 to 4 working days in metro areas and 4 to 7 in regional areas. Express Post takes 1 to 2 working days metro, 2 to 3 regional and 3 to 4 remote, and express orders placed before 4pm AEDT on weekdays are dispatched the same day.

Returns and guarantees. Lovehoney's returns policy allows returns within 30 days of purchase, as long as the product is unopened and unused with its packaging intact. It doesn't do exchanges. It offers a 1-year product guarantee, and a 100 Day Pleasure Guarantee that gives a gift card if you're not happy with a sex toy and tell it why within 100 days, limited to one item per order and with some categories not covered.

Payment. Its help centre lists Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, PayPal, Google Pay and Afterpay. It says Afterpay needs an Australian card, a residential address and that you're over 18.

More detail is in our Lovehoney review.

Wild Secrets

Who it is. Wild Secrets' about page says it was founded in 1993 and operates in Melbourne with an on-site warehouse. The page describes its acquisition by PHE, Inc., the parent of US retailer Adam & Eve.

Delivery. Its delivery page says orders ship within 48 hours on business days from warehouses in Melbourne and North Carolina, and that Australian and New Zealand orders typically ship within 24 hours. Standard delivery takes 2 to 7 business days and express 1 to 3. Carriers include Australia Post, TGE and DHL, all with tracking, and parcels may be left unattended in a safe place.

Returns and warranty. Its returns page says it doesn't accept returns on adult products because of their intimate nature. It offers a 90-day warranty on all adult products, and notes that the maker's warranty may be longer. For a fault within 90 days, it asks you to contact customer service rather than lodging a return through your account. Change-of-mind returns within 90 days are accepted on lingerie, costumes and footwear in original condition, with some exclusions such as latex wear and hosiery.

Adulttoymegastore

Who it is. Adulttoymegastore's shipping page says its headquarters and main warehouse are in Wellington, New Zealand, and that all shipping times are counted from there.

Delivery. Standard delivery goes by Australia Post: order before 12pm AEDT, and allow 2 to 4 business days in metro areas, 4 to 8 regional and up to 9 remote. The site banner showed economy as 4 to 8 business days on the day we checked, which differs from the shipping page. Express goes by DHL, ordered before 10am AEDT, in 2 to 3 business days. DHL can't deliver to PO Boxes or parcel lockers; Australia Post can.

Returns and warranty. Its return policy says it accepts returns covered by the Australian Consumer Law, such as manufacturing faults, but not change-of-mind returns. You need to contact it within 7 days of delivery about a faulty product. The store warranty is 31 days unless the maker's warranty is longer, and it says returned items are never resold. Cancelling is free before an order is processed, but a 30% fee applies once processing has begun.

Matching a store to what matters to you

We don't pick a winner, but the published terms do point in different directions depending on your priorities:

  • You might change your mind. Only Lovehoney, of the three, accepts change-of-mind returns on adult products, and only if they're unopened and unused, within 30 days.
  • You want the longest store warranty. Lovehoney's 1-year product guarantee is the longest of the three store warranties. Check the brand's own warranty too, which may be longer still.
  • You need delivery to a PO Box or parcel locker. Adulttoymegastore says Australia Post can deliver to both. Lovehoney says it can deliver to a local collection point.
  • You don't want a parcel left unattended. Wild Secrets says parcels may be left in a safe place. Adulttoymegastore offers a signature on delivery for an extra $2.
  • You're in regional or remote Australia. Lovehoney says its delivery cost is the same everywhere. Compare the regional delivery times in each store's section above.
  • You care what shows on your card statement. Adulttoymegastore says it bills as "ATMS". The other two didn't state a billing name on the pages we read.

Buying direct from a brand

You can also buy from some brands directly. Womanizer's Australian warranty page says its 5-year warranty covers products bought from WOW Tech or an authorised reseller, and lists Amazon and eBay sellers other than WOW Tech as unauthorised. If you buy a branded toy from a marketplace, check whether the seller is authorised, or the brand's warranty may not apply. Our Womanizer review and We-Vibe review cover each brand's own terms.

Your rights apply at every store

Store policies can't override the law. The ACCC says consumer guarantees apply automatically, products must be of acceptable quality and match their description, and a "no refunds" sign can't take those rights away. The first step with a faulty product is to contact the business you bought it from.

So when a store says "no returns on adult products", that refers to change of mind. A faulty or misdescribed product is a different matter.

What we couldn't check

  • sextoys.com.au. Its site didn't load for us on 30 October 2026, so it isn't included.
  • Product ranges and prices. We don't compare them.
  • Customer service. We haven't contacted any of the stores.
